TIME: Immediately following the regular Personnel Services Committee meeting
COMMITTEE MEMBERS PRESENT: Michelle Bean, Sandra Hett, Jennifer Pfefferkorn, Mary Rayome
ADMINISTRATION PRESENT: Robert Crist
OTHERS PRESENT: Janet Leverance, Cindy Voigt, Steve Urso
Committee Chairperson, Ms. Bean called the meeting to order at 6:12 p.m.
A motion was made by Ms. Rayome and seconded by Ms. Pfefferkorn to move into closed session pursuant to Wisconsin State Statutes 19.85 (1)(b)(c)(e) for the purpose of discussing a termination of employment, an employee’s health insurance issue clarification, issues relevant to contract negotiations for external custodial services, and salary and benefits for non-represented employees – physical therapist, LAP tutors, van drivers, and school psychologists. Motion carried unanimously on a roll call vote. Voting aye were Ms. Bean, Ms. Pfefferkorn, and Ms. Rayome.
A motion was made by Ms. Rayome and seconded by Ms. Pfefferkorn to move into open session. Motion carried unanimously.
A motion was made by Ms. Rayome and seconded by Ms. Pfefferkorn to approve the termination of Mr. Roger Sersch. Motion carried unanimously.
A motion was made by Ms. Pfefferkorn and seconded by Ms. Rayome to approve the custodial outsourcing contract on a one-year trial basis. Motion carried unanimously.
A motion was made by Ms. Rayome and seconded by Ms. Pfefferkorn to approve the 2007-08 salary and benefits for the non-represented employees per the following:
Physical Therapist: Funded 50% through CESA 5 for the 2007-08 school year
Salary and benefit increase of 3.8% total package (current salary $54,142)
LAP Tutors: $2.00/hour increase (current hourly rate $7.50)
Van Drivers: 3% wage increase (current hourly rate $11.33)
School Psychologists: Salary and benefit increase of 3.8% total package
Increased employee health insurance contribution to 10% for single/family
Changes to retirement benefits, sick leave, automobile and credit reimbursement language changes
Motion carried unanimously.
Ms. Bean adjourned the August 6, 2007 Personnel Services Committee meeting at 9:50 p.m.
