TIME: 6:00 p.m.

COMMITTEE MEMBERS PRESENT: Anne Lee, John Krings, Gregory Swank, and Sandra Hett

I. The meeting was called to order at 6:02 p.m. by Chair Anne Lee.

III. Business Services

A. Unusual Hazards Evaluation Request – Transportation

Current procedures for evaluating unusual hazards necessitating transportation were reviewed with the Committee.

B. Hail Damage Repairs – Approval

BS-1 A motion was made by John Krings, and seconded by Gregory Swank, that the approval of Tighe Roofing and Ron’s Refrigeration to make the repairs from the hail damage to be funded by claims to the Districts property insurance carrier be recommended for approval. The motion was carried.

C. Community 4K Site Agreements – Approval

BS-2 A motion was made by Gregory Swank, and seconded by John Krings, that the four community 4K site agreements for the 2007-08 school year be recommended for approval. The motion was carried.

D. Port Edwards 66:0301 4K Agreement – Approval

BS-3 A motion was made by John Krings, and seconded by Gregory Swank, that the 2007-08 66:0301 agreement with the Port Edward School District for the 4K program be recommended for approval. The motion was carried.

E. Delivery Service Contract – Approval

BS-4 A motion was made by Gregory Swank, and seconded by John Krings, that inter-school mail and food service meal delivery by Bob’s Delivery Service for the 2007-08 school year at $82.00 per day and $77.00 per day respectively be recommended for approval. The motion was carried.

IV. Updates and Reports

A. Referendum Projects – Update

The Committee was updated on Referendum Projects at
West Junior High - Additional concrete sidewalk
Lincoln High School - Additional blacktop replacement in auto shop area - Additional concrete sidewalk around exterior freezer
Washington Elementary School - Additional plywood backing on gym roof
Grove Elementary School - Additional EIFS siding installed in court yard - Guard rail in parking lot.



B. Unusual Hazards Evaluation Procedures – Transportation

The Committee discussed possible revisions to the current Unusual Hazards Evaluation Procedures and requested information on evaluation procedures used by neighboring Districts.

V. Consent Agenda Items

The Committee members agreed upon the following consent agenda items:

BS-1 – Hail Damage Repairs – Approval
BS-2 – Community 4K Site Agreements – Approval
BS-3 – Port Edwards 66:0301 4K Agreement – Approval
BS-4 – Delivery Service Contract – Approval

VI. Future Agenda Items

Future agenda items of the Business Services Committee include, but are not limited to the following:

- School Insurance and Risk Management Cooperative of Wisconsin (SIRMC) – Membership Approval – November 5, 2007
- Approval of Purchases by more than one committee
